The fertility test allows you to test your fertility from home. Important: The fertility test is not a quick test. The blood sample that you take at home is sent by mail from you to a Swissmedic-certified laboratory in Switzerland - at no additional cost to you. The laboratory will reliably test your blood and provide information about your AMH levels.
What exactly is tested?
The Home Sampling fertility test is used to detect the anti-mullerian hormone and your fertility. The number of germ cells continuously decreases after a girl is born, because they are not reproduced. So the biological clock is ticking - but not at the same rate for all women. Therefore, the number of eggs available for fertilization at your age can vary greatly from person to person.
How do I use the test?
The Home Sampling Blood Collection Test Kit is delivered to your home by Amorana, where you collect a drop of your blood on your finger according to the instructions included in the kit. Here you can find instructions for capillary blood collection:

You send this sample, also according to the instructions, with the included addressed and prepaid envelope to a Swissmedic certified laboratory in Switzerland. The laboratory will perform the blood analysis and inform you of the test result. You will receive the results of the fertility test within one working day of the arrival of your sample at the laboratory. Please take the blood sample only between Monday and Thursday and not immediately before or during the weekend. This is because you have to send the collection fresh to the post office on the same day (Monday to Thursday) and you will receive the results within one working day. The results will be sent to you by mail. Therefore, it is important that you indicate your e-mail address in the field provided on the order form.
The test content, the pre-addressed and pre-paid return envelope and the laboratory examination are included in the price of the fertility check. This means that there are no additional costs for you. Please also note that no health insurance voucher will be issued for the laboratory test.
Depending on the value, the result will be interpreted as follows:
Your anti-Müllerian hormone test is normal: This means you received a normal anti-Müllerian hormone test result. Your AMH level is therefore within the normal range for your age. If you plan to delay pregnancy, this test is recommended once a year. This way you can monitor your ovarian reserve.
Your anti-Müllerian hormone test came back low: A low level may mean that you are having trouble getting pregnant. It can also mean that you are starting menopause. A low AMH level is normal in postmenopausal women. Although it is less likely if the level falls below "low", you can still get pregnant naturally. A low level does not mean with absolute certainty that you cannot get pregnant.
Your anti-Müllerian hormone test came back elevated: Elevated AMH levels can be an indication of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). However, women without PCOS who have high AMH levels are usually very fertile. If you are found to have elevated levels, you should check with your gynecologist for further clarification.
