With this STI test, you can be tested anonymously and from home for possible STIs such as gonorrhoea or herpes. After just a few days, you will find out whether you have contracted a disease.

STI test - which pathogens are tested?

Several sexually transmitted diseases are analysed with this rapid test. The test is carried out in the laboratory using a molecular biological method. The following pathogens are tested:

Herpes simplex type 1 and 2
Trichomonas vaginalis (triggers vaginal and urethral infections)
Chlamydia trachomatis (chlamydia)
Neisseria gonorrhoeae (gonorrhoea)
Mycoplasma genitalium

When should I choose the STI self-test (vaginal swab)?

The swab should be tested directly at the site where unprotected sex took place. If unprotected vaginal intercourse has taken place, you should therefore opt for the vaginal test. It should also be used if you have had passive oral sex. This STI test is therefore only suitable for women. If you have had unprotected anal or oral sex, we recommend the oral or anal tests.

How does the test work?

Order your desired test from us in the Amorana Shop and it will be delivered to you in neutral packaging the next day if you have placed your order by 5.00 pm.

- The envelope contains a swab, instructions and a pre-paid postage envelope.
- Read the instructions carefully and take a sample.
- Address the envelope, take it to the post office or drop it in a post box.
- Your results will be sent to you by e-mail after approx. 3 days.

When should I get tested?

You can be tested for the above-mentioned STIs just 3-7 days after unprotected sexual intercourse. You will receive the result after a few days.

What do I need to consider?

If you notice skin irritation, blisters or ulcers after unprotected sexual intercourse, you should take the sample at this point so that the result is correct. Please note that you must return the test to the specified laboratory and not to the Amorana Sex Shop. You should also note that this test cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
